Stourbridge RR

Stourbridge Railroad trackage stretches from Honesdale to Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania.

A former Erie-Lackawanna (Former Erie) branch line, it had been owned by The Lackawaxen-Honesdale Shippers Association since 1976 until

2008.

Now, it is owned by a private owner.

Past operators of the line have been Delaware-Otsego System, which called the railroad LASB, and North Shore Railroad System, which called the railroad SBRR.

Currently, the operator is Central Penn Rail Corp., and the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce hosts The Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions.

Morristown & Erie Railway is slated to become the new operator in 2009.

On June 7, 2008, The New York, Susquehanna & Western Railway, transported equipment for The Stourbridge Railroad from Binghamton, NY to Lackawaxen, PA. The equipment carried AFRX reporting marks for AF Railway Industries Inc. The locomotive, former East Penn Scenic Railway (Former Guilford 22, Former Maine Central 561), and Former East Penn Scenic Railway coaches 291, and 2015 are the newest additions to the railroad to date.

The equipment was facing railroad west, and the train was moving east, pulled by New York & Greenwood Lake Railway
